Pyeroy was established in 1973 as a painting contractor and, since then, has grown into a large, successful Industrial Support Services company with a 2007 turnover of £58M and a workforce or nearly 900 personnel. Managed by an Executive Board of 10 Directors including a Chairman and Managing Director, Pyeroy remains a privately owned organisation with an ambition to be the market leader in the industrial sectors in which it operates.
Working throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, Pyeroy has Regional offices located at, or near to, Newcastle, Edinburgh, and Belfast and conducts its business through five main Divisions, namely; Marine, Infrastructure. Process & Energy, Construction & Building and Nuclear Services (inc. Asbestos Remediation, Insulation & Lagging and Industrial Cleaning).
Pyeroy has invested significantly in the training and management of health & safety and quality assurance to establish the company as a major player in the market sectors in which it operates. As a result Pyeroy’s Quality Assurance procedures were accredited to ISO 9001:2000 in Jan 2004 and its Environmental Management System accredited to ISO 14001:2004 in May 2008. Pyeroy’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) policies have been certified by the Local Government’s Contractor Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) in April 2004. For operations in the Rail Industry, Pyeroy has been awarded a Principal Contractor Licence by Network Rail and Achilles Link-up has successfully approved Pyeroy, while further accreditation has also been achieved with Achilles UVDB for the Utilities Sector, FPAL for the Oil & Gas Industry and the company has been successful in passing the stringent Achilles UVDB Verify and Link-up Proof Audit assessment processes.
Pyeroy’s Asbestos Remediation activities are fully licensed and insured to carry out the removal and handling/disposal of asbestos contaminated products and is a member of the Asbestos trade body, ARCA., while Pyeroy holds membership of the NASC organization to support its extensive scaffold activities.
Over the last 15 years Pyeroy has established an excellent reputation in several market sectors including bridge painting/refurbishment, providing extensive support services to the refit of naval and civilian ships (painting, scaffolding, insulation and cleaning), painting services for the oil & gas industries (storage tanks, AGI, offshore platforms and rigs etc.) and the power generation industry across the UK and Ireland.
